Very nice and helpful, great sense of history, close to the cathedral, and affordable. I strongly recommend the Les chevalier in loan at this medieval town. It's an excellent overnight stop on southbound travel that travels two hours from the calais coast. But it deserves to be a destination in and of itself, not just a stopover.

For modern conveniences, lifts, and consistency do not come here, go to an ibis that is good in its own way. The hotel is centuries old with many interesting features that you feel very much in keeping with the environment of loan itself. That said, the rooms have all the comforts you need and everything works. The concierge was friendly and helpful in directing us to the restaurants that fitted us. Breakfast was good and set us up for the day. Les chevaliers is well located in the heart of the city but not noisy with public parking nearby. It takes patience if you are driving and navigate narrow streets and one way system, but it's worth it.

It's a perfect location to explore the Old Town of Loan from the hotel. It's located in the center, next to the City Hall. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is free overnight parking in front of the city hall, but during the day it is only available for 1 hour zone bleu.

A wonderful hotel, right off the main square. Lovely old architecture with a rough edge. The owner is very friendly and attentive. Breakfast is well-organized and traditionally simple, only bread and hot drink. Room 12 under the eaves is fantastic but not overly accessible. We were lucky to park in the town hall square arriving on Saturday afternoon and leaving on Monday morning, any other time is required. Also a little open on a Sunday evening to eat. The upper loan area is small but atmospheric and artful.
