The facilities were also satisfactory. However, the air conditioning didn't work. After I had to wait for the staff to fix it, it still didn't work fully afterwards. Worse, my breakfast was not ready at the time scheduled, so he was late for half an hour even though the food was tasty. Maybe a repair and hiring more staff? It looked pretty unmotivated by the Balinese standards.

Excellent location and helpful, pleasant staff. Unfortunately, on arrival, we had to request clean towels, and the room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The general aesthetic that I think they were going for is industrial chic, but it fails to deliver and just looks disgusting. The salt water supply for the shower and sink faltered, rust on every surface, and a constant sewer odor made for quick showers! Overall, I was disappointed with the location, the breakfast options were also subpar, so we chose to eat at the tiki bar directly across the street. In the vicinity, there are many better homestays and small hotels.

The locomotive's whole history was not depicted in the photographs. Nonetheless, the many flaws were mostly positive. The hotel is in a great location. A short stroll to the beach, or a few steps down to the main road. In both directions, you can find bars, cafes, and other shops. Scooters can be hired and appear to be the primary mode of transportation on Lembongan. It is true that the restrooms are a little stinky, but that's most likely caused by island infrastructure rather than by the hotel itself. No complaints there, though, because the room was clean enough, including bed linens. Also, I was wondering why an electric kettle was provided but there was no tea, coffee, etc. The hotel employees were always courteous, modest, and supportive, and they worked long hours. Perhaps the hotels proprietors might consider offering them a somewhat better workspace. Some landscaping next to the pool, painting the metal handrails, could not figure out if they were meant to be that way?, a pleasantr entryway to the property. Anyway, there is not much to anticipate from the stay, and one should have no high expectations.

We spent two nights at this hotel. Worst stay ever. When we arrived there were noone in reception. A young guy came and took suitcases to the room. No info available. Thats it. Reception unmanned. The smell from the bathroom drain was so terrible. We had to keep ventilator on 24/7. The sink had a brown stinking spot of slime. The floor in room was covered with long black hair. Had NOT been cleaned for ages. The balcony door could not be locked, and there was a big slip underneath. It gave room for a lot of insects entering day and night. Small and big bugs came in. We had to go and buy repellant to spray on. The balconys were all connected. This means that everyone could climb into our room. There was a safe, but it was not attached to anything. You could just walk in, grab it and walk away. This means we had to carry our valuables all day long. Water in the shower was nearly just dripping. No pressure at all. Many dead and alive cockroaches inside room and on stairway. There were no towels in the room and since reception was unmanned, we had to use our own and from the neatly folded swan someone had left on the bed. Nothing, as in absolutely nothing of the service mentioned on Hotels.com was available. NO: restaurant, no bar, no reception, no spa, no massage, no roomservice, no cleaning etc. Added to this, we paid $120 for two nights. Take our advice: STAY AWAY.
