This was a wonderful experience for me because I frequently stayed in the hotel. The hot spring was so hot. The location was great. Close to the inn at night, we could see fireflies. They served a private dinner in the room. They provided a clean and lovely place, as the building is significant historical. The service here was so cool. Then, when we were ready to leave, we came across a firefly near the inn.

On our honeymoon trip to Naigara, we stayed here for one night. The miniature emperor himself stayed here in the first century, and the main building is over two hundred years old. We were thrilled by the past and the feeling of transitioning to another era. It was really relaxing to stay in a room with a private outdoor boxspring bath. Both supper and breakfast were excellent, and the cuisine was excellent. We were able to understand because the employees spoke a little English and we spoke a little broken Japanese. The service was outstanding, and they were really kind. If you're seeking a traditional roman experience, this is a great recommendation. They also have a website in English that simplifies booking rooms online.

It's been at least 250 years since the inn, and whenever you enter, there is an ancientworld presence. Everything is peaceful and replete with history. The inn itself is savage, taking routes up a hillside and following one or the other in passing along side passages. Our apartment was on the left and up a few steps. Our room was flooded with the pleasant, depending on your sensibilities, sulphur smell from the hot spring bath, and it opened into the interior garden. Although not to everyones tastes, this is an authentic expression of early Roman times. We had numerous rooms, including a sitting room, a tatami sleeping room, an indoor bathroom, and an outdoor hot spring area, as well as a toilet and a hallway. Very special. The rooms were provided in a private, pleasant, and there was no cooking odor in your room. But he was surly and unresponsive, the antithesis of everything Japanese. I already mentioned the stunning sulphur vapor that permeated the room. We checked out on a Friday, but we arrived on a Tuesday. For some reason, the temperature of the outdoor bath dropped from 43 to 39 degrees, and the smell of hot spring water disappeared at the peak of the weekend. Perhaps most visitors prefer cooler baths and less odorous water. We received free coffee or beer

About Koshi No Yado Takashimaya

Our ryokan, a former village headman's residence dating back 250 years, is registered as an important tangible cultural property. A large garden, featuring bamboo and an old pine grove, is beautifully illuminated at night. Guests enjoy traditional Japanese dishes as well as a spacious public bath and an open-air bath.
