The entire log cabin was kept clean and seemed new. 3 heaters were adequate to keep us warm during winter. It was a big lodging for our family of 4. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare simple meals. The nearby public hot bath provided simple but clean hot bath facilities for free. On the way back to the log house, I saw a couple of deer and a fat rabbit. Very quiet, peaceful place for good family bonding. We reserved the place almost two months in advance and requested the hotel to give us access to the chalkboard at the onsite restaurant. However, on the two days of our stay, the kitchen was in need of repairs. When we came, we discovered that other visitors were receiving meals. So, we checked with the restaurant captain and were informed that we could have the meal if we had made our reservation in advance. When we approached the front desk to inquire, we were again told the kitchen was in need of repair. It was unfortunate that they insisted we couldnt have any meal at the restaurant while we were there. We were hoping to sample some of their French food there. Nonetheless, instead, our kids had a chance to demonstrate their cooking skills, so we had simple meals. To get food, the nearest town would be Minamifurano station around 9 a. M., or another city about 45 km drive away.

Very peaceful and out of this world. Totally different from my previous stay at Hoshino tomato which was full of pals. Lake Kanayama is frozen and white with snow. Drive down Kanayama Lake is fairly quiet. Can't bring food for dinner or breakfast. Children had so much fun playing outside the lodge.

I stayed here for 3 nights in February and we wished we could have stayed longer. I think this place is out of town and very quiet. It was spacious and comfortable for two people. There are 5 beds. Fully equipped kitchen. 5 minutes away is a public bath. Very beautiful and romantic place. I'll certainly be back.

The location was lovely. We were there for the first week of February, there was snow everywhere and a frozen lake in the distance. But the area was beautiful, with pine woodland in the back and a frozen lake in the distance. We put on our snowshoes for free for guests and walked to the lake, not too easy, but an unforgettable experience. The log motel is lovely, our room has a balcony, a sitting area with a bathroom on the ground level, and two twin beds up the stairs, all built of wood. The hallways into the rooms were also perfect for taking photos. Our package included french supper and a Japanese breakfast, both of which were delicious, but wed have liked a bigger portion! Moreover, the cost is very affordable. All that, for under 20,00 jpy. We love to return in spring or summer to see the lake and the surrounding forest. Im not sure if they have double beds in other rooms, it would be nice if we had one, it was extremely cold weather, the hotel is so romantic but we had to sleep in different beds! The only drawback is that such a big establishment does not start, they did give free tickets to go to a nearby public bath house about two minutes by car. I would not recommend it, not very clean, Id prefer to shower in the small bathroom in the room!.

For our requirements, it's a great hotel overall. We've been to the larch twice now. We weren't let down once more. It is in an excellent position. Three distinct ski resorts, including the Frank Short Tomato ski area, are all within an hour by car. While there are wellknown cottages to stay in, we chose the hotel's convenience because there was no need to get chilly moving around the hotel that way. The hotel's rooms are very large. We stayed in a triple room decorated with a marionette. The downstairs toilet, bathroom living room with a big twopart sofa, and three equally spaced beds, are both upstairs. When the snow or ice slides off the room at night, it can be extremely quiet. Ha! Ha! Just the quiet of the larch is undoubtedly wonderful. A separate restroom and toilet is provided and both spotless and roomy. There are plenty of hangers, but the closet could use some expansion, particularly for heavy skiwear. Two dryers and two washers are above the reception. They are reasonably priced. The cuisines are excellent. Though not enormous, they are beautifully arranged. If your lucky enough, you will also see beautiful jays graze there for a bath. You can also take advantage of the beautiful eagles to observe. The hotel also provides games, such
