Everything was amazing. Specially the staff are very kind and helpful, they make you feel special. The rooms are very comfortable and ample. We were three people and it’s the most spacious room we had in our trio to Japan. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks luck you staff.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Luck you. The stuff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. Everything was thought-through and we were provided with many tips and explanations. It was great to have the opportunity to experience a traditional Japanese room with futon beds. We also enjoyed the breakfast with Japanese and Western food. The view into the tiny Zen Garden is amazing. There is also the option to use a microwave and Japanese snacks are provided every evening. It was great to try those. Opposite the hotel is an Onsen that can be used and we were provided with all important information on the etiquette and also a cute basket with body soap, shampoo and conditioner. Overall we had a really great stay at this Ryokan and can totally recommend it to everyone who is up for an experience that feels way more authentic Japanese and individual than a hotel.

Stayed one night with my family of 3. We loved the property and the experience. My only minor issue is that there was on off-odor from the AC. We would stay again when coming back to Kyoto.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The rooms were very comfortable, although we needed 3-4 futons to make it soft enough. All in all a very pleasant experience.

We stayed here for two nights and it was very peaceful. The rooms are nice and minimalistic which adds to the charm. The staff is very friendly and provides you with lots of information when you join. The rooms are nice and minimalistic which adds to the charm. The ryokan is perfect to stay when you need a quiet break from your busy travel schedule.

Very clean, the staff were pleasant and helpful. The managers english was much better than average for places i stayed in japan. The downside, for a westerner like myself, is that the rooms are quite sparse by western standards. I had to duck to get into my room, and at night i had to stack the mats to get reasonably comfortable. My traveling companion, who is of japanese descent, was pleased with his room. I liked luck you, but if i find myself in kyoto again, i will probably stay somewhere with real beds.

This is the best place in kyoto if you want to try the ryokan experience! The staff is very nice and helpful, they speak excellent english. The room is nice and very clean, you can sleep comfortably on a futon if you need help setting it up. They provide free tickets for the onsen which is very friendly right in front of the building. You also get a great pyjamas for the night! Breakfast is great both japanese and international. The ryokan is very close to the bus stop (they also sell bus daily passes) or if you are coming by train it is a 10minute walk from the jr station in tambaguchi. There are many nice restaurants in the area.

The common area is very elegant yet cozy and inviting, so we like to hang out there. Drinking free tea while wearing the provided yukata in the beautiful Tatami common room is nothing but a great experience. A public bath house that passes across the building is an excellent introduction to how the locals live and enjoy their daily lives to the fullest. Great service and great room amenities.
