The rooms are basic but good for the price. The staffs friendliness is the best! They offer tours and book busses for you. Karan is very kind and gives you tips on where to eat, buy trekking stuff and much more! Thank you very much!.

Lokasinya sangat strategis. Berpusatlah dengan berjalan kaki dan di jalan sempit yang tidak terlalu bising. Saya tiba di Nepal dengan sedikit waktu dan tanpa rencana dan mereka membantu saya merencanakan sepanjang minggu dan rute trekking. Orang-orang sangat baik dan ramah. The hostel is in the tourist area of thamel. The price is also very good, there are many good restaurants and cafes nearby and there is a lot to do. We booked a trek through the hostel which was great. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Thank you!.

This place is truly exceptional, and i always choose to stay there whenever im in katmandu. The staff is exceptional, and the rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable, even the mixed dorms with multiple beds. The showers are of high quality, the rooftop area is delightful, and the location is truly remarkable.

We had a wonderful stay at rest up hostel! The rooms are very nice, clean and well equipped! The rooftop is great and allows you to meet people! Tempat teratas untuk backpacker. 10 Per 15 menit berjalan kaki ke Thamel dan kehidupan malam. Anda dapat dengan mudah mengenal orang lain dan staf selalu sangat baik dan ramah. Ada juga layanan agen perjalanan yang mengatur perjalanan dan trekking. Kamarnya cukup besar. Hanya saja kasurnya retak dan keras. Kadang-kadang ada beberapa nyamuk di malam hari, tapi tidak ada yang serius. Pemandangan spektakuler di lantai atas dan area umum. Anda bisa minum bir seharga 700.

I strongly recommend everything! I couldnt have chosen a nicer place to stay in katmandu than this hostel! The staff is the best, they helped me with all my doubts, guided me, kept my belongings, and waited for me so i could enter the hostel at 11.30 pm. Not all hostels receive you at that time. Thank you very much to karan, night shift receptionist who welcomed me when i arrived at 11.30 pm and left at 5.30 am. The bedrooms are very nice. I slept comfortably and warm. They have a beautiful terrace! Where they also have a restaurant serving very delicious food. Wifi works great. Great atmosphere. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily. Now when i return from my trek, i will stay with them again. Thank you very much for everything!.

I highly recommend staying here if youre in the city of khalmandu! I wrote this extensive review based on my amazing experience staying at rest up hostel. 1. Location hustling thamel street is directly across the street. Its within easy walking distance to enjoy the streets without being bothered by the chaos in the market area. Its also within walking distance from ason market, where you can get things for a very cheap price compared to the thamel area. 2. Room i stayed in a dorm room, which was very well maintained. Clean beds and linens, as well as the housekeeping staff, were also helpful for any requests. The most important thing was 24 hours proper hot water. Saying proper as ive been in hostels that claim to provide hot water but sometimes its just warm, especially winters, as they only have solar heaters. Rest Up uses gas geysers so no problem having a hot shower after your tiring trek! 3. Food a simple but clean and hygienic kitchen on the rooftop. 4. People i owe one to this man. I wanted to go trekking but had a very limited budget due to lastminute plan for this trip. Rajan is an extrek leader with almost a decade of experience on almost all the famous trails in nepal. He suggested me a trek, planned an itinerary and also arranged for a guide at a minimal cost. Practically, he did not charge me a penny for his services. He just made sure the local guide (his family member) gets paid according to the standard charges. Thank you so much for your kindness in helping me complete a trek in nepal!.

The hostel is welllocated in thamel and is managed by wonderful people. I want to express my gratitude to karan in particular for managing the recovery of my suitcase lost by the airline. He was very kind, contacting the airport quickly after my arrival and receiving my backpack at the property so i could enjoy thamel without thinking twice. Clean and comfortable rooms. The terrace is a must where you can enjoy the sunset and try delicious local food.

Very clean the best backpacker option. I stayed 2 nights at the beginning of my trip and then stayed 4 nights at the end. Very cheap, charming staff and very nice common areas decorated with murals and plants.

The hostel is affordable and conveniently located in the heart of thamel. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I highly recommend booking a tour through the hostel, as it is much cheaper than other tour operators in thamel. Additionally, there is a nice bar on the rooftop where guests can enjoy a beer and interact with other hippies and vagabonds.

We stayed here twice when we flew in and out of katmandu. The staff was very helpful in arranging transportation to and from the airport as well as bus tickets. Both rooms were quite nice and spacious, although the bathrooms were mediocre and the toilet in the first room didnt flush. The staff provided a space heater for the room which was very appreciated for the cold winter nights. The location is perfect, next to thamel which is the main area for backpackers. You can spend the night out at the thamel clubs and walk back within 10 minutes, but no nightlife noise reached our room. The common area on the roof is quite nice, with a beautiful view of thamel and many different seating options. The social scene seemed a bit quiet, but we were also passing through quickly so we didnt try too hard to meet people. Vegetarian moos at the rooftop restaurant are great!.

I stayed there for several nights during my 8week trip in nepal. The rooms and bathrooms are basic and clean and one of the cheaper hostels. The rooftop chill out area is great and a great place to meet other travelers and you get a nice view of the city. I got a severe cough and fever 2 days after returning from trekking and the guys at the hostel really cared for me. I moved to a separate room and they brought me food and tea. And as my symptoms did not get better they arranged for me to go to the hospital. 10/10 would stay there again.

I booked the rest up in katmandu by pure coincidence, but it turned out to be a wonderful stroke of luck for me. Without any idea how i would like to spend my vacation in kuala lumpur, gopi organized many tours for me after a few exchanged whatsapp messages. Kathmandu city tours with deepak, chitwan national park with bi, and mardi himal trekking with rajan. I couldnt be happier with this choice, gopis plans were great, and i am enjoying my time here in kutwan. Even during the offseason, i highly recommend rest up hostel. The hostel itself has a few shared dorms, as well as several cheap single rooms. The rooftop bar invites you to linger and you get to know other travelers. I can only recommend rest up, khmandu, and the tours that gopi organized for me. He responds quickly and seems, as his main goal was to help me have a great time and learn about the Nepalese culture.
