Tegal Station is the departure point for this route. Located just a hundred meters from Tegal’s town square, the station is easily accessible by foot, taxis, and online ride-hailing services. Originally built in 1918, this station was built to keep up with demand and serve both passenger and cargo trains passing through the region. The building was designed by famed architect Henri MacLaine Pont, and has mostly retained its original structure. Inside, passengers can find facilities such as an ATM gallery, a health clinic, and casual fast food restaurants.

Passengers from Tegal will arrive at either Surabaya Gubeng Station or Surabaya Pasar Turi Station.
