TAAG Angola Airlines E.P. (Portuguese: TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola E.P.) is a state-owned Angolan national airline based in Luanda. The airline operates an all-Boeing fleet on domestic services in Angola, medium-distance services in Africa, and long-distance services to Brazil, Cuba, and Portugal. The government initially founded TAAG as DTA - Divisão dos Transportes Aéreos (Angolan Air Transport Division) in 1938, then TAAG changed its designation to Transportes Aéreos de Angola (Angolan Air Transport), by operating domestic flights and starting regional flights to São Tomé e Príncipe and Windhoek in 1973.
In 1975, precisely after the proclamation of national independence, the airline began flying to Lisbon and establishing its presence in Europe. Currently, TAAG is still making history, increasing connections between Angola and the rest of the world, opening new routes to Europe, Dubai, and China.
